MODIFIED CAPACITANCE MODEL IN THE CORONA PLASMA DISCHARGE

This research calculates the modified capacitance of electrode capacitively coupled plasma (CCP) model with a crown sharp-plane configuration. The CCP is an similar to principle capacitor in conventional circuit but differs arrangement electrodes. In case positive corona, structure positions active electrodes almost vertical air, and part passive lying horizontally under shape sharp at tip electrode, which will cause high potential gradient that area, resulting more significant discharge pointed area than less area. A current multiplier factor k entered tapered region ​​calculating (modified capacitance) anticipate difference flow. for calculating corona discharge's current-voltage (I-V) characteristics has proven geometric calculations can also be carried out without using physical calculation (Maxwell's equations).
